Creating the visual identity for a new awards celebrating the best of british.
The British Short Film Awards team wanted to create a brand that felt intrinsically British but without using a union jack or any other generic motifs.
The result is a mark inspired by the lines on a clapper board and using a true classic of British typography. It needed to be iconic enough to be recognisable everywhere from film posters to glass awards.
The first year of the awards was a great success, with appearance from household names and a feature by Variety magazine.
